LABOR ENDORSES JAMIE FINE & BRUCE LEIGHTON FOR TOWN BOARD
The Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO has endorsed Jamie Fine and Bruce Leighton for the Saugerties Town Board in the November election. In letters to both candidates, Paul Ellis-Graham, President of the Federation and John Nilsen, President of the Upper Hudson Central Labor Council, said “We are confident that your decisions as elected officials will reflect the values of working families throughout Ulster County.”
Commenting on the endorsement, Jamie Fine said, “To have earned the confidence and trust of the hard-working men and women represented by the Federation is a tremendous honor.” Bruce Leighton added,” We have enormous respect for the work they do, and we’re deeply appreciative of their endorsement.” Fine and Leighton are the Democratic candidates for Town Board. Both have also been endorsed by the Working Families Party. In addition, Leighton has been endorsed by the Independence Party.
